Dr Eric Guerin is a Senior International Expert for UNESCO, specialized in Asian bee conservation and sustainable beekeeping. With over 30 years of experience as a scientist and consultant, his work focuses on improving community livelihoods through practices that protect wild bees and their natural habitats.
Dr. Guntima Suwannapong is a Professor in Biology, Faculty of Science, Burapha University, Chon Buri, Thailand. She received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Entomology) from the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She did her postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Entomology, Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, USA. She got a Fulbright scholarship as a visiting professor at Section of Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution, Division of Biological Sciences, University of California, San Diego, California, USA. Her research focuses on honey bee histopathology and diseases in particular Nosemosis in honey bees of Thailand, and the uses of propolis extracts from stingless bees to control Nosemosis in Thai honey bees.
